Founded in 2015 by Regina Noppe in Vancouver, Canada, and present in São Paulo and Florianópolis, Dream2B has just announced a fundraising of US$ 10 million (R$ 50 million) from Victory Square, a publicly traded Canadian venture builder. With the contribution, the organization will invest in the internationalization of Brazilian startups that are already in its portfolio, as well as those that participate in the next acceleration cycles.
“For the next three years, at least, we will invest in the best Brazilian startups with internationalization potential for Canada, reinforcing the bridge between the two countries and promoting Brazilian businesses”, explains Regina.
To date, the company has welcomed more than 50 Brazilian startups into its program, such as Data H, SafeTest, Sólides and Coinwise (currently ZeroBank). “Canada is currently one of the fastest growing technology hubs in the world and is one of the main gateways to the United States, Asian and European markets,” says the executive.
The Dream2B acceleration program is open for registration until March 31st for its seventh cycle. Up to ten Brazilian startups will be selected with technology applications in artificial intelligence, blockchain and Web3, especially with a focus on digital health, clean tech and immersive technology.
To participate, startups must be in a growth stage, have disruptive products and the ability to quickly become globally scalable. Furthermore, it is important that the program participant masters the English language and that the startup has an international expansion strategy.
Thus, those who perform best during the program will be able to receive contributions from the partnership, ranging between US$ 250 thousand and US$ 5 million, and will also have the chance to participate in the Startup Visa, the permanent residence visa. Registration can be done at site of the venture builder and the announcement of those selected will be made by April 4th.
