Venture building company wants to take Brazilian startups to Canada

Canada, over the past few years, has become a hub for startup development. With a corporate environment that enjoys tax incentives, investment in research and development, costs and fees lower than the US average and quality of education to train first-class professionals, the country is now the right destination for Dream2B, a company venture building that takes Brazilian startups in the technology sector for immersions, mentoring sessions and business pitches for Canadian investors.

Founded by Brazilian Regina Noppe and having Marcos Alves, a specialist in the startup sector, as a partner, the company recently completed registration for the “Dream2B Global Acceleration Program – Batch #4”, which selected eight Brazilian startups for acceleration sessions in Canada aiming for internationalization of these companies. The program's launch event, held on July 26, in São Paulo, was attended by partners Marcos and Regina, as well as Sherry Coulbourne, CEO of Spark Centre; and Yuri Navarro, CEO of the National Angel Capital Organization (Naco), which has around 3 thousand associated angel investors.

The company arrives with several partnerships that make the program possible, such as the Spark Center (a Canadian startup incubator that has worked with more than 600 companies), in addition to the Brazilian Consulate in Toronto and the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce.

Information released by the company on the Batch 4 registration page, citing the Canadian arm of PwC as a source, says that the Canadian startup market already features 5,200 startups, with a total of US$ 3.2 billion invested in venture building, in addition to 400 thousand job positions created.
